Hey,

Can I use this software:
http://cd-labelprint.updatestar.com/

that creates .cld format files on Epson/Brother printer? Or am I stuck forever to Canon? 🙁 I have lots of labels created by this program and I cannot imagine that I have to create them again.

Best regards!

I think it only works with Canon printers on account of the "Canon inkjet printer driver add-on module" that has to be installed in order for CD LabelPrint to work, and obviously that module won't install unless it detects a Canon printer & Canon driver.

I'm surprised you switched to Epson from Canon by the way. I did just the opposite 6 months ago when I got fed up trying to get reasonably faithful colours on my Epson when photo printing. Miles out with some colours, spot on with others.

No such problems with the new Canon, very satisfied.

Regarding the .cld format:

Make a copy of one of those files and open it with NotePad. The structure and organization may allow you to "recapture" the data via another application such as Excel via import using a .txt or .csv file extension.

Maybe one of the .cld file converters out there will work. Google "file converter .cld" and some variations of that search. You may already have an application that will accept the data.

Just remember to practice and test using copies of the files. Put original files out of reach in case the software tries something global or otherwise through out an entire folder.

Avoid any online services that offer to convert or analyze such files via your downloading the file to them.
