So, the ram is not on the QVL for that mobo. That doesn't mean it won't work. You may have to set timings/voltage manually to get them to work. You can try set the ram to work with XMP/DOCP.

This list is assuming you have a Ryzen 2xxx CPU.

However, buying a 1 x 8 kit is not a good idea. You will lose dual channel performance. You should get a 2 x matched kit. So 2 x 4 or 2 x 8gbs kit. This will give you dual channel, which can give an extra 10-20% performance, task dependent.

I would expect it's single channel, as in 1 x 8gb kit. You generally would not get two DIMMS with a standard PC like that. And because you have a Ryzen 2220g, dual channel would give you a lot more performance, specially with the built in iGPU.

Apologies, your PC has a dediated GPU (1050ti), so yes dual channel will still help, but because you have a dedicated GPU , the point I made above about the iGPU is moot.

It will be okay for gaming with just 1 x 8gb stick. But you will lose about 10-20% performance in games, by not having 2 x 4gbs or 2 x 8gbs. Dual channel is better than single channel.

Well, it's just free performance for no extra cost! Single channel will still work fine for gaming. Just not as well as dual channel.
