I have msi z97s krait edition motherboard I have ddr3(2R 8 PC3) ramsticks that are installed are 11-11-B1 and 1600mhz

For the one Im trying to use , ddr3L(1R 8 PC3L) is 11-11-A1 and 1600mhz
In msi motherboard spec it says "y" to ddr3L which might mean it works as well. Now my real question is do I have to change bios setting for the slot im gonna use for ddr3l, before putting ddr3l in? in order to change the voltage to 1.35v or does motherboard is keep it as 1.5v and still has no problem what so ever? I read that running ddr3l with 1.5v will damage the ram stick or some say because ddr3l supports dual voltage 1.35and 1.5v it should be fine..? So Im comfused.

Solution
You can use DDR3L at 1.5V, problem is that very different RAM sticks have a high chance of not interacting well together no matter what you do. If you actually have needs that require more than 16 GB of RAM, buy a proper matched set and avoid the FrankenRAM.
