Hey. Can I use dual GPU.

1 Nvidia and 1 ATI ?

I am sure it's a freaking question. But I just want to ask for future. Because I want to buy a HD 7870 and maybe in the future I will buy a GTX graphics card.

Can I combine them ?? hahaha  :pt1cable: :pt1cable: :pt1cable: :pt1cable: :pt1cable: :pt1cable: :pt1cable: :pt1cable:

If by "combine them" you mean a hybrid SLi/Crossfire I don't think so. A couple of years ago a company tried it (I think they were called Lucid Logix) before they were snapped up. Since then we have seen very few examples of their tech (mainly in the MSI boards)and I don't think it ever worked quite right as the performance was worse than a single GPU.

If you mean just using them as display drivers I have got to ask why you would waste that much power on something so banal.

Personally, I would go for one or the other in a single machine and SLi/Crossfire that. I wouldn't try to mix them.

HAHA !! That was I really meant to be !!! Do they can be together ?

Thanks for your answers guys !! hehe

You could do that but you'd just be wasting GPU power and money. :sarcastic: Just get a second 7870 if you want to Crossfire. I don't really fancy the PhysX thingy and buying a second card for dedicated PhysX is just not recommended.

you can only sli nvidia cards if they are the same graphics card
like a 560 with a 560
not 560 with a 570

amd card can crossfire within the same series
so a 7850 can crossfire with a 7870 but the performance of the 7870 will be reduced to that of the 7850
so you will be paying more for less
