Hello ,

I bought an rtx 3050 and this is the first time I own an NVIDIA gpu. I have a freesync monitor that only has a single hdmi port.
I had no issues when using my old AMD gpu ,but the moment I installed the rtx 3050 ,I've been experiencing a lot of screen tearing.
Especially when getting 200+ fps in some games.

From what I understand ,to enable freesync on an NVIDIA gpu you need to use a display port instead of an hdmi port.

So would buying a display to hdmi adapter allow me to use freesync on this gpu?

Even if you could enable Gsync(which you can't as it requires Displayport) it would not fix frame tearing at high FPS. Gsync and Freesync sync the monitors refresh rate to the FPS and this syncing has a range. the top end is the monitors max refresh rate, in your case 75Hz, so anything above 75fps and Gsync wouldn't be doing anything.

Have you tried Vsync or setting a max FPS of 75 in the game(s)?
Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

What is the make and model of your monitor? What AMD GPU were you on prior to the RTX3050? Did you use DDU prior to populating the system with the RTX3050?

My model is
LG 29WL500-B
I had an RX 560 prior to this upgrade
Also ,I have uninstalled all the AMD drivers using DDU.
