Good day!

When I found out about cloud gaming last month, I always wondered... maybe I could use that instead of an 7-year old laptop.

This old piece of junk has a dedicated Nvidia GPU built in and a usable CPU.

GPU: GT 540M
CPU: i5 2430M

I am a little unsure about my laptop's specs because the minimum requirements of Geforce NOW say that at least a 600-series GPU is required and I have a GT 540M.

Don't worry about internet because I have 500k Download and 50k Upload speeds, so that won't be a problem.

Is Geforce NOW going to work with my Laptop?

With best regards from Germany!

You should be able to, yes.

The requirements are not too harsh at all.

The GPU requirements are for DX9 (or greater) support. Not 100% sure why it would state a 600 series GPU, when your GPU supports DX11.

Even if the 540M couldn't do it for some reason, the iGP of the 2430M is HD3000, with the minimum Intel requirements being HD2000.

So, while it might not be the absolute optimal experience, you should be able to use Geforce Now for a fairly smooth experience.

Is the Geforce NOW service officially available in Germany? Just wondering because if it's not, then the servers might be pretty far away affecting latency.

If the Geforce Now service was a 600 class GPU, then the 540M is too slow.
