Can I use Ghost Image after CPU change?

I made a ghost image with i7-3820, after I replace the CPU for i7-4820K can I recover the image I made with the former CPU? Every other HW is the same, just the CPU has changed. I mean is it possible that a system failure will be happen because of the replaced CPU or it will be woking without any issue? Thanks.

Changing the CPU shouldn't invalidate the backup image, but just to be on the safe side I would create a new image and then delete the old one.

Whenever I make any changes to internal hardware I always create a new disk image.
