So I just picked up a new monitor. It's 1080p, 165hz, GSYNC, for my basement office. My tower is upstairs so I need at least 15 feet to run it to my office, but 20 or 25 feet would make it a little less tight. I have it plugged in right now through HDMI but that only gets me 144hz and no GSYNC. Can I use a display port 1.2 cable that is 15 feet or longer and have GSYNC and 165hz work? Or would that be too long?

Solution
Dell states that 6 feet is the recommended maximum for display cables, anything more has the risk of data loss. I would go for a high quality DisplayPort 1.4 cable instead of 1.2, much better performance, and cables with braided layers and foil shielding can help prevent signal interference
