Question Can I use GTX 1060 with PSU without PCI express cable?

Hi gentlemen,

So I gave my GTX 1060 to my best buddy to upgrade his build. Problem is, his PSU doesn't has any cables at all. Just some weird SATA like connector in the back. Please see picture.

Never seen any PSU like that...
It's 690W so it should be able to handle the card but I have no idea how to connect the card.
It looks like his motherboard has 6-pin connectors on itself that the fans are plugged directly in (pic attached) I'm not sure if I can plug the card directly into the motherboard like that using a 6-8pin connector. Would that damage both the card and the motherboard?

I check the model of the PSU but nothing comes up.
Any advice is really appreciated.
