Can I use GTX 660 with 26" 720p LCD TV

I'm working on building a budget PC and part of that budget is not having to buy a monitor at this point... My only option at the moment is to use my 26" Vizio LCD Tv as a monitor that's until I can budget for a good gaming monitor of course. It's a 720p LCD Tv at 60hz. I believe, from what I've been able to deduce that the EVGA GTX 660 maxes out at 1080p or I should say it runs best at that resolution.... being that it's a tv.... here is all of the info on it such as response rate and so on... http://www.walmart.com/ip/Vizio-26-LCD-TV/10884374

to a gpu 720p on tv and monitor is the same.
GTX 660 easily maxes games on 1080p so
gtx 660 will give 60FPS in ALL the games at 720p no problems.

you dont need all that gpu to play at 720p either but it will do, Id invest in a 22" 1080p monitor to make use of that gpu if you already have it

I know, but bought it as I do plan on getting a good 22" - 27" monitor in the next few weeks. However, at this point the main cost / funds need to be diverted to priority parts... i.e gpu, cpu and so on... Ultimately my goal will be to get a gaming monitor that'll allow me the best settings to size ratio. Please feel free to make your suggestions now

how much is your budget?
for monitor if 1080p is costly,
u can get a 1600x900
for cpu... can u wait a few months the 4th gen of i series will be out by June or sooner

When the time comes, I'll budget $200 to a decent display..... performance is related to resolution and not screen size.
if it is 720p and it is 22" or it is 720p and 27" it is the same to your GPU.
and dont worry too much about the low response like 2ms 5ms or even more wont make a noticeable difference.
just get a monitor that u like, i say instead of the internet go the store yourself,
and see the clarity of the monitor and decide if u like it or not!
