Can I use GTX 750 Ti with single core Celeron G440 1.6Ghz?

My Celeron G440 has only 1 core and 1 thread I think. It's 1.6Ghz, I heard it can go up to 1.9Ghz even tho it's only 1.6Ghz but I don't know how it works. I originally got it for browsing internet and at that time I didn't knew I will wanna play games.

Anyways, I got an GTX 750 Ti. I know it will bottleneck 750 Ti if I put it in. But will it crash or damage my card or my system?

At the moment I use Intel integrated HD graphics what comes with my Celeron G440. Will my performance increase if I put in that card instead? Or will it get worse without fast processor? I just wanna maybe use it instead of letting it just sit there in a shelf for few months until I buy a new processor. Can I? I'm afraid of messing something up.

I play League of Legends on low settings and it runs ok with around 25-30 fps. Will GTX 750 Ti increase my fps by 5 or 10 at least if I put it in? And is it safe for a card and my system? Meaning when I buy a new processor who is powerful enough it would run like it is supposed to like bottlenecking would never happened?

Solution
what they're saying is right, but remember, the integrated graphics on the celeron NO WAY bottleneck the cpu so he will get better frames. and he doesn't need an i5 with the 750ti, any i3 intel or quad amd is just fine.

and no, it won't crash as long as your psu supports it, which it does. Just make sure that your motherboard actually has the pcie slot to fit the card into.

EDIT: ^^^ I meant the cpu doesn't in any ways bottleneck the integrated graphics

I got 400W PSU. I read that GTX 750 Ti needs minimum 300W PSU to run, right? So I assume 400W will be more than enough to run all my system? Right?

By how much fps on average will you think it will be with this slow processor?

Shouldn't or won't? :/

I'm not that concerned about better graphics at this point, I just would like to get few more fps until I buy new processor.

You'll get more fps until you get a new processor. Make sure your PSU is AT LEAST 350-400 watts depending on what else you have...

If the CPU is your limitation then throwing more graphics processing power at it won't increase your FPS.

First determine if it is the CPU that is causing the bottleneck. Otherwise you'll just be wasting money buying something that won't even improve your FPS at all.

If your CPU is currently running at its maximum and the GPU is running at less than its maximum then you have a CPU bottleneck.

I don't actually know what is problem now. Like I said, I get 25 - 30 fps playing LoL and I'm guessing that it might just be integrated Intel graphics that can not handle the game graphics and gives me so low fps, not my CPU. Right? I don't understand much from CPUs and GPUs so what you guys think would be the case most likely?

I still haven't received a set answer to whether doing this will crash or damage anything. All I have is people saying it shouldn't. "Shouldn't" means you not sure. I would rather hear answer from somebody who knows for sure. Is there anybody? Preferably more than one person so I would know to trust the answer. Looks like this forum is not too active. =/

We mean shouldn't because it all depends on your psu. It must have enough power for that gpu, at least 300 watts

Solution
The discrete graphics card will offload any graphics processing tasks from the Intel Celeron G440's integrated graphics so that should free up the CPU to concentrate on non-graphics tasks.

This means the addition of the discrete graphics card won't hurt performance.

The CPU will still be a limitation until you upgrade it.
