Can i use hdmi to hdmi to set up dual monitors?

Hello,
I am trying to set up dual monitors for an HP E510t desktop. The desktop has ports for HDMI and DVI. I have run one monitor to the DVI port and that is fine. The second monitor has both VGA and HDMI ports and I am trying to connect the desktop with the second monitor using an HDMI to HDMI cable, but the desktop will not recognize that I have added a second monitor. Can't I use an HDMI to HDMI for this purpose or is there a different problem? TIA. Mike

I'm having the exact same problem. I have a HP Firebird 802 with VooDoo and two 22" HP w2207 monitors. One is connected via VGA with a VGA - DVI adapter to the tower, (the monitors have the VGA input but the tower has a DVI output). And the other is connected via HDMI from monitor to the HDMI output in the tower. When it powers on, the monitor with the VGA works like it should. The 2nd monitor displays a message saying no VGA input signal and no HDMI signal and goes to sleep. Idk what to do. I've spent 6 hours on this just today alone.

Did you update your graphic card drivers?

You must enable in your system settings the option to display on the monitors. If you just plug them in, it won't do anything.
