Question Can I use HDMI to VGA converter for my VGA monitor?

I have a monitor which only has the VGA port but my GPU has HDMI AND Display port. Wonder if I can use the HDMI to vga converter... Will it works? Is it safe to use?

I've been connecting my old monitor, which has only VGA and DVI-D ports, through a HDMI-DVI cable + DVI/VGA converter, and everything worked fine for years. I don't think that you'll experience problems, but maybe more experienced users will tell you otherwise.
