Can I use jumpers cables to power radio in car with no battery?

I have a car with no battery in it. There are cd's in the audio system I need to retrieve. Without having to hook up a battery I was wondering if I could just use jumper cables and attach a running car to the terminal cables sans battery and get the power I need to turn on the audio system and eject the cd's.

well in theory the short answer is yes.... MAKE SURE THOSE CABLE END DO NOT TOUCH THEMSELVES OR THE CAR.

Should work, and u don't even need to start the feeding car, radio takes very little power and takes u seconds to remove the CD.

Yes, 12V is not much voltage, just make sure the jumper red lead does not touch any metal other than the battery terminal you're connecting it to. Key on the car but don't start the engine, CD's will come right out.
