Hi everyone. I have a slim laptop with m.2 NVMe storage.

I've bought an aluminum heat sink for my m.2 NVMe which came with thermal pad.

Unfortunately even the smallest heatsink + thermal pad was too big for my laptop.

Can I just use the thermal pad, attached to my m.2 NVMe, without the metal heat sink?

Thanks

Thank you very much USAFRet.

Maybe I'll place the thermal pad to close the gap between my m.2 drive and my laptop cover since there is almost only 1 mm left. This way the cover will probably act as the heat sink itself!

Thank you.
