Can I Use Macbook RAM on Windows Laptop ??

So here's the thing. I m using ASUS K53SV laptop with 1x4GB RAM
and I want to upgrade 1x4GB so it will be 2x4GB.
But my friend offer me for free his unused Macbook RAM 1x8 GB and I want use it.
(Since it have same spesification DDR3 and 1333Mhz)

So my question is this:
1. Can I use Macbook's RAM on my ASUS laptop?
2. Will it be harm my laptop if the RAM not compatible? (Worst scenario damage electricity sys)

There is no reason it shouldn't work as long as it is the same type, DDR2, DDR3, DDR4

Appearently my friend's ram is 2x2 gb not 1x8gb after i saw the box (he doesnt know a lot about computer stuff)
I tried it yesterday (1x2gb) since i just have 1 free slot then my laptop appeared black screen and freeze.
I think i will have to buy new one
