Can I use my 500w Power Supply to my new 400w GPU?

I bought 400w GPU Palit Geforce GTX 650 1g and I'm thinking if my Power Supply Is enough. Is it good?

Yeah, as long as it is or above the minimum wattage for your gpu then yes you can run it.

I would need to know the make and model of the PSU to tell you if its good or not. If its a decent unit it should be more than enough, if its not it could damage the whole system.

It's just a local unit here in our country. Sunstar 500w. And 400w is the minimum wattage of the GPU

After looking up the specs, from what I can find that PSU is way overrated, judging by the 12v rail its closer to a 300w unit than a 500w unit. I would suggest replacing it, and for the reason why refer to the youtube link in my last post.

First you do not have a 400w GPU. You have a GPU that requires a recommended 400 watts for the entire system.

The local, no name unit you have very likely can't supply anywhere near 500 watts. I can't even find any info about it. So even though the GTX 650 is a very low power card I would not trust that power supply.
