Hi

I have an asus h81m-a

And my case has 2 usb 3.0 ports.

But the mobo's user guide doesn't show any place where i can plug the usb 3.0 front cable

So, is it impossible?

Solution

Yeah, pretty much.
Unless you buy extra parts to talk to the case ports.

The blue ones on the back, yes.
But there is no connector on the board to talk to the USB 3.0 ports on your case.

So, long story short, front panel usb ports are useless * with this mobo, but those in the back will work fine with 3.0?

Nah, i'm fine. Most of my usb are 2.0 anyway. I have no issue using the back panel.

When I upgrade the mobo i'll make sure it has usb 3 headers.

Thanks man.
