Question Can I use my HP laptop g6 2312's hard disk for my pc ?

That ^ is an old article and even talks about molex power which you would not really find in modern systems or adapters.

Laptop and any recent desktop drives use the exact same SATA power and data connections. Just need to get an adapter for the drive size to fit in the desktop. And even then, many newer PC cases have brackets for the 2.5" drives already in them.

I wold not use a platter laptop drive as a main drive though, unless you are really low on money, and you don't want to use it as a boot drive without formatting it and installing Windows clean on it.
