I want to combine the GPU of my laptop and the GPU on my desktop to make games run faster. Is that possible? They are both GTX 1660 ti's.

Solution
Theoretically you could take a desktop video card, put it in an enclosure, hook it up to a laptop that has Thunderbolt on it, and you have another GPU available on the laptop. But getting both to work on the same app would require the app to explicitly do such, which no game does.

It'll also be impractical due to the costs for a good setup.

Outside of combing their power indirectly, selling the laptop and the the GPU from the PC and using the proceeds to buy a more powerful GPU, no. It doesn't work for the same reason you can't just weld two Toyotas together and end up with a Lexus.
