OK Guys. I was using ESS es1969 sound card for my PC since my motherboard audio output has failed to work. Recently when I upgraded to win 7, my sound card also stopped working because it doesn't have win 7 compatible drivers yet. I heard from a friend that Graphics cards can be used as an audio output device too. I have nvidia GT 630. But I don't know how to use it(if possible) ? I have 5.1 channel audio system with 3.5 mm jack. pls tell me how do I connect it to my gt630. Are there any cable I need to buy for it ?And if this process is not possible please suggest me some cheap sound cards compatible with win 7 or alternate drivers for my old sound card ?

Solution
You have to use connectors like HDMI which support only digital Audio (Most speakers are analogs I guess). In this case I think you have to use a soundcard :).

I have mentioned my older sound card Model.
Its ESS es1969.
And how do I know if my graphics card have audio output.? It has I did get an audio driver installed on my PC throug its driver CD "Nvidia High Definition Audio".

So that means I need to buy a new sound card. Can't I get my old sound card working on win 7.

Thats for ingame sound decoding.
But does your card heave a audio output on you outputs? if no then not
Any your soundcard is to old.
