Can I use my old graphics card for other purposes?

Hey guys! So, I finally just ordered my new ASUS R9 270x with 4gb of vram. I'm super excited for this to come. Now what I want to know is if I can repurpose my old graphics card. Thing is, my new card is AMD and my old card is NVIDIA. It's a GT 610 (Not that good but somehow I was able to play GTA V on it with a stable fps, low settings of course). I was thinking since AMD cards can't use physx, I was wondering if by having both installed, if I could use that with it. Or if not, if there is anything else I could do with it. I'd hate to see it go to waste. Thanks.

Solution
Only a few games actually use physx, and the difference in visuals and performance is negligible. I would wrap it up and keep it as a back-up card.
You cannot crossfire/bridge/SLI those 2 different brand together unfortunately. Typically its like cards or exact models that are SLI'd together. Sorry, however maybe you can sell that card or hold onto it in case a friend needs something like that? :)

AMD you can crossfire different models together, Nvidia they are supposed to be identical. Though I have read where you can hook up a Nvidia and AMD with a driver trick, but I wouldn't do something like that myself, not worth it to me to have something go wrong.

I think he was talking about using it as a dedicated physx card which isnt really worth it. I dont even know if you can use a physx card with an AMD graphics card.
