Hi i was wondering if i can safely clean my heat sinks and fans with my vacuum cleaner with out damaging any components. And would it be safer to use the blowing function of the vacuum to clean the heat sinks/fans.
while its best to use compressed air to clean fans and heatsinks, its ok to vacuum them as well.blowing them out with the vacuum is more likely to blow more dust in than it takes out.it is also not a strong enough air flow to blow the dust out.

I use a shop vac with 2-3.5HP motor to blow air throw a narrow tube.... it works just fine... and yes I only use it for that purpose.

You will agree with me that Dyson is a household name when it comes to vacuum cleaning. While Roombas might have beaten the Dyson 360 Eye in the robot vacuums market, the UK vacuums brand dominates the stick vacuums world.
The Dyson V-Series range of stick vacuums call the shots in today’s market, but when you dig deeper, you find two popular models; Dyson V8 vs. V10.
