Can I use only one stick from a 2x2gb sticks

I bought a 2x2gb set of ram sticks by kingston ddr2 800mhz

what i wanted to know was if i could use just 1 stick or do i have to use the 2 sticks so things dont get faulty and what not

PS: i can run the computer with 1 stick, and with 2 sticks in aswell

Yes you can run the computer with one stick of ram. Whay in the world you'd want to do that however, is beyond me.

no reason you can't split them up and run each in a different PC.
