Question Can I use product key after I format my computer

Hi,

I bought a Windows 8.1 Pro OEM CD Key from scdkey.com. The product key worked and my version of Windows was activated. However, today after I formatted my drive and tried using the same product key, I was able to install Window 8.1 Pro, but it said my version of Windows could not be activated. I tried calling the automated activation number but Microsoft was unable to validate the product key. Any advice would be very much appreciated?

That sometimes happens when you buy a product key from somewhere else than Microsoft. Have you contacted scdkey.com and asked for a new key?
