Can I use Ryzen 5 wraith cooler on AMD FX CPU?

Swapping out my Master Evo 212 for my new build but want to give my old build to my younger cousin. Was wondering if AM3+ boards will take the Ryzen stock coolers.

The AM4 hole pattern for the mounting bracket is different than that of the AM3. They are not interchangeable.
