So I used to have a gtx 1050ti with TDP of 75 watts and it was unplugged because my HP power supply is 320 watts (94% efficient) and it does not have 6pin PCI-E connector, and all has worked fine without any problems.
Now I would like to upgrade to a GTX 1650(Product Page:https://www.pny.com/geforce-gtx-1650-gddr6-df)
It still has a TDP of 75 watts and recommended PSU is 300 watts, so is it safe to use the SATA to 6 pin PCI-E adapter for it as it's not a really strong card right?
My CPU is non Over clockable i7-4770( TDP -84 watts).
So should I assume it will be safe because the motherboard slot provides upto 75 watts and the SATA to 6 pin adapter can go upto 54 watts which combined is way more than the card needs, so it should be safe right?
Also I did try running the card without any 6 pin connector, fans started spinning and all but on the post I got a message to connect 6pin to continue to boot into windows, so the possibility of me just running the card from the mobo slot is not there even tho it requires only 75 watts.
Please reply as soon as possible, thanking in advance
