Hey, so I'm building a PC for the first time, and I have kind of a nooby question, I have a 250GB SSD that I want to use for boot, but if I do so does it render the rest of the space in it unusable? Or is there a way I can section off part of the memory only for the OS and then have the rest available for use?

Solution
It does not matter, when you install windows it will take up a set amount of the free drive space out of the total capacity available, any space left over can be used to store games or anything you wish to put on it.
You can partition the drive so that it does have a separate partition for use. However, for best use of the drive, you need to ensure that you never fill the partition that has the operating system on it (Windows, Linux, etc...) to more than 75% or your performance will drop.
