I have a dell optiplex 755 midtower and last week the psu and the motherboard broke.
I dont want to throw it away, can i use it for a modern build?Sorry for bad english!

Solution
Unfortunately, no. Modern motherboards use the ATX form factor. When looking at the rear I/O ports, the expansion slots are to the right. Your case uses a BTX form factor. When looking at the rear I/O ports, they're to the left. If you want to get a modern system, you will need a new case/power supply.

A standard motherboard will not fit on that case, since Dell uses proprietary components and connectors.
You will have to use another OptiPlex board and PSU.
I suggest you just get a standard PC case if you are planning to get standard PC components.
