I had an ssd with windows 10 on it, but then the ssd broke. i didn't have a chance to deactivate the copy of windows before it broke, so can I still use the same product key on my new ssd?

windows 10 now uses digital keys. if you lose the key that came with your pc all you need do is reinstall windows if the drive goes bad. when the windows installer ask for the key click on skip. when windows 10 logs into the net it pull your key back in. just use the microsoft media creation tool to make the newest iso file to a usb stick. if you use the old old cd or usb stick you be at the pc waiting for all of the updates to download.
