Can I use this dvd drive?

Solution
That is an older IDE DVD drive. If the PC you're going to put it in has an IDE interface on the motherboard, then of course!
If not, then it isn't quite as simple. You'll have to get an IDE to SATA converter of some sort, which could cost as much as a newer DVD drive.

I agree, almost all (if not all) new or even moderately new motherboards have done away with the ide ports. My last motherboard had one (even then it was just one and the others were sata) and it was an lga775 from like 6-7yrs ago. It will work in an older build with legacy connectors on the motherboard but if using modern stuff it's just easier to get a new drive. Sata dvd burners are usually had for under $20 and adapters will likely cost that plus the headache of it.
