Hi,

I was thinking of buying a nvidia gtx 1060 for my computer. The processor is an i7-2600 3.40GHz and I'm not sure about the motherboard. It doesn't say when I look in system information. I already have an asus xonar stx sound card and a GeForce GTX 770 2GB(It's huge). The GTX 770 is a pretty tight fit already with the sound card so I'm just wondering if I can replace the 770 with a 1060 in the same spot and have it run well without having to upgrade anything else. If not I just won't get one. So I'm worried about space and if my computer can run one. Also I can remove the sound card and get an external adapter for my speakers if needed. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Thank you very much for the reply. I downloaded the program to check. Manufacturer is Intel Corporation, DH67GD is the model number. I guess now I need to lookup what kind of connectors the graphics card and my motherboard have?

Motherboard should be fine. It has a pcie 2.0 x16 slot which is good enough. You'll need to physically look at your PSU to check model. You will need a 6 pin PCIE power connector. Your 770 may already have one attached, in which case you should be good to go.

Okay thank you very much for your help. I really appreciate it! 😀
