PSU: chieftec CTG 500W-80P
CPU: intel core i7 6700k 4,00ghz
VGA: Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1 (stock)
MOBO: Asus z170-k
RAM: 2x4GB 2666mhz
120gb ssd 1tb hdd
i use this pc with gtx 660 now and i'm not sure i could use 1070 with ctg 500-80p
i don't wanna overclock i just want to use for gaming everything on stock.

Its not that the chieftec doesn't have enough wattage , it does.
Ita just downright crappy quality , youre talking about running $1000 worth of components on a $30 PSU & that just doesn't come across as even close to sensible.
Might be a bit under-powered.

There are a variety of online calculators availabe to add up the power requirements of the desired components and then provide a recommended PSU size.

Or tally up the recommended/required wattages yourself and go from there. Leave room for growth.

Then look for any product reviews and recommendations regarding the PSUs you are considering. Start within this forum's product reviews.
