Can I use two 6 pins and one 2 pin connected into my gpu?

I'm currently using a gtx 1660 ti which requires an 8 pin connection so I have opted out with one 2 pin and one 6 pin. However, I'm going to be getting a new gpu soon and it requires a 14 pin connection so I thought about using two 6 pins and one 2 pin connection. Is this going to work perfectly fine?

Yes you can use those wires 6 pin and 2 pin for the 1660ti. But if your going to get new GPU soon please name your PSU now and what GPU your getting

What GPU are you planning getting and whats your currunt PSU because two 6 pins and 2 pin should power on it since your PSU comes with those wires!" But with higher gpu means more watts

Corsair rm850x and I will be getting an rx 6700xt from powercolor, a larger variant of this gpu uses 2 x 8 pin cables but this version only needs a 14 pin cable connection.

Are you going to use two separate cables to plug into 14 pin

I don't see the need to do that because currently my 1660 ti has one 2 pin cable and a 6 pin cable plugged into it, and right beside those two cables there is another 6 pin cable daisy chained and with the rx 6700 xt I thought to myself that I could just start to utilise that other spare cable ( The 6 pin cable).

If your PSU has two PCI outputs and you have 2 diffrent cables you can use one lead to plug into 6 pin and other one to plug into 8 pin one 6x2 and other 6 pin if you know what I mean.

Yeah should work because you got the cables to power it on

Great! Well, I know that if you're going to be doing some very extreme overclocking then it's better to have two cables going to the gpu but I don't think I'll be doing more than a little overclock to get like 5 more fps, or maybe I won't even do that.
