Can I use two different sizes of memory in same pc if they are the same brand?

I currently have 2 sticks of 8gb ADATA XPG 2400mhz ddr4 ram in my system. From my old pc I have 2 sticks of 4gb ADATA XPG 2400mhz ddr4 ram. If I were to add these 2 4gb sticks to my current pc will it work?

-Motherboard: MSI Z270 Pcmate
-OS: Windows 10

Yes it will work. Make sure to utilize the 4 RAM slots such that the 4 sticks are placed alternate manner so that the Dual Channel feature is made use of efficently. Something like this:

Slot 1: 8GB
Slot 2: 4GB
Slot 3: 8GB
Slot 4: 4GB
