I'm about to finish my first build and was wondering if I would be able to use a USB keyboard to interact with the BIOS. My mobo is http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138373.
Thanks for the help!

The motherboard should have default drivers for it unless it is really old.
I don't have all the parts yet, but I just wasn't sure if the usb keyboard would register without windows to automatically install its device driver.

Awesome thanks very much!

Make sure that you have the cd that came with the moterboard, because it usually contains the usb drivers.

Windows has basic USB drivers for almost every system I have used(even old and very new ones.).

Just do not turn off legacy usb support(as it is sometimes needed for the bios to use the mouse/keyboard) in the bios and you will be fine.

Even when you install drivers for the USB controller most of the time they just name them, Check out the driver details they are almost always Microsoft.

USB 3.0 is another story, but basic drivers should still work and Windows 8/8.1 have full drivers built in.
