Can i5-4690k run on Gigabyte GA-Z97M-D3H without Bios update ?

According to Intel all z97 boards can support Devil Canyon. But on Gigabyte's website it says that I need to upgrade the Bios to F5 from F2 for i5-4690k.. The problem is I don't have any other CPUs to update the Bios. Anyone using the same motherboard with 4690k ?

No, I don't have that.

It depends on the board's manufacture date. I doubt that the retailer still has such old stock. However, make sure that you can send back the board in case it doesn't work.

In order to have a Corei5-4690K or Corei7-4790K, Im almost sure you need a BIOS update. Cause It suports haswell refresh CPUs natively, but not all of them.
