For those with a similar question you can easily install a secondary HDD. Make sure you have your secondary HDD disconnected while you install Windows.

Most computers have available ports and physical space for installation of another hard drive, but...not all. (Laptops and AIOs often have no extra space or ports)

In any event, if you already have WIndows installed, certainly installing a 2nd drive does not require any reinstallation. Connect the drive, configure/format in admin tools/computer mngmt/storage/disk mnmgt if the drive is new or needs reformatting for fresh use.

2. Connect new drive.
3. Boot into BIOS, verify boot sequence is correct.
4. Boot into windows.
5. Go into Disk Management, initialize, create partition(s),format,assign drive letter.
Done. Profit.

3b. Still in BIOS, verify boot sequence is correct. Correct the boot sequence, if necessary.
3c. Save the last BIOS changes and exit the BIOS.
4. Boot into windows.
5. Go into Disk Management, initialize, create partition(s),format,assign drive letter.
