I recently upgraded my gaming computer from 2x4 GB to 2x8 GB, from:

ADATA 8GB (2 x 4GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3000 (PC4 24000) Desktop Memory - Gold Edition Model AX4U3000W4G16-DGZ

to

XPG Z1 DDR4 3000MHz (PC4 24000) 16GB (2x8GB) Gaming Memory Modules, Silver (AX4U300038G16-DSZ1)

(Mother board is rog strix z370-g gaming)

The RAM seems to work, Warzone runs much better now. But since then I have been noticing that my ethernet throughput will occasionally drop to 0 for a few seconds every few minutes or so. My games will act as if they had packet loss, and after a few seconds, connections are restored. I read that changing RAM can have unpredictable outcomes and I was wondering if network connection issues were among them.

I would not think directly maybe some OS problem but that is also unlikely.

Leave a constant ping run to your router IP in the background and see if you get loss.

I would check the event log maybe you will see something that is happening

I just noticed twitch dropping connection on my work computer and I'm fairly certain now the problem must be further up the chain. Hopefully it's just my modem.
