Hi guys...
I would like to change my current CPU (Intel i5-2400) with an (Intel i5-3470) in my ACER Veriton M6610G. I have never done this before and am very worried that I am going to ah heck things up! The BIOS is apparently current (ver P01-A4) and the CPU is compatible (LGA1155), but the watts are different 95w (Sandy Bridge) to 77w (Ivy Bridge).
Also, the motherboard Chipset says "Sandy Bridge"....
Is this i5-3470 compatible with this motherboard?
If it is.... is it as simple as just replacing the old CPU with the new CPU or am I in for a whole lot of surprises here?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated...
