can laptop dc plug be repaired or replaced

My ASUS laptop's dc plug is broken. See pic below.

Is it possible the plug body can be temporarily repaired by opening it somehow and re soldering the broken connection?

Can a replacement plug be purchased?

You can buy a replacement laptop power supply (plug)

You can definitely buy them. If you need one quick I'm pretty sure Walmart even sells some semi universal ones. It's probably best to get an OEM if you can.
