Hi everyone,
I’m upgrading my PC cooling setup in a be quiet! Light Base 900 FX Black case with a Gigabyte X870E Aorus Pro Ice motherboard, Ryzen 9 9950X3D, and RTX 5070 Ti. I’m considering adding three Lian Li UNI Fan SL-Infinity 140 Reverse Blade fans (single pack, no controller included) as bottom intake fans to complement the pre-installed Light Wings fans.
My Cooler Master MasterLiquid PL360 Flux AIO includes an ARGB hub, which I believe supports standard 3-pin 5V ARGB headers. The Lian Li fans also have 3-pin ARGB and 4-pin PWM cables for direct motherboard connection. My questions are:
Thanks,
I’m upgrading my PC cooling setup in a be quiet!
- Can I connect the Lian Li fans’ ARGB cables to the PL360 Flux hub to control lighting via my motherboard’s RGB Fusion software, or will I need a separate Lian Li UNI HUB SL controller for full functionality?
- Since the PL360 hub doesn’t support PWM, I plan to connect the PWM cables to my motherboard’s headers. Will this work seamlessly, or are there compatibility issues I should be aware of?
- If the PL360 hub isn’t ideal, would you recommend sticking with Thermaltake CT140 EX ARGB Reverse fans instead, which don’t require an extra controller? I’m trying to avoid additional hub costs and prioritize cooling in a warm climate (Ibagué, Colombia).
Thanks,
