Hello all,
I have MSI Z170A M7 motherboard. It comes with 2 m2 slots. I ordered 1 TB NVME SSD (2280). I read Z170a manual. It said that it is 2280, but say nothing about NVME. The motherboard is PCIe 3.0 and this NVME I ordered is PCIe 3.1. I also read on MSI Forums with mixed messages - some said it will work, some said it won't.

I also flashed my latest BIOS.

Let me know.

Much appreciated, Thanks!

Yes your NVMe SSD will work on that motherboard. NVMe SSD's use PCIe to connect to the CPU.
