[SOLVED] Can making a "back plate" out of tape cause issues?

Hello, I recently found a good deal on a gtx1080. Only problem is, it has a green pcb.

Can I cover this green pcb in black electrical tape without any issues?

The tape is rated for 105c before melting, so I don't suppose that's an issue. Also it isn't conductive.

But I did consider that the tape might hold in a little heat.

You need something that will dissipate the heat and tape wont do it. Recommend removing the tape and find a 3rd party backplate online
