Kent John,
The answer to your question is no.
Unfortunately, 8th Generation processors are
not backward compatible with any 100 or 200 Series motherboards. 8th Generation instead requires a 300 Series motherboard.
Although 6th, 7th and 8th Generation processors are all Socket 1151, 8th Generation processors and 300 Series motherboard sockets are keyed differently, so only 8th Generation processors will fit. Also, signal to pin assignments are different, and power delivery has been increased to support additional Cores.
Sorry, but if you want to run an 8th Generation processor, you're going to need a 300 Series motherboard.
