Hello there, so i have kinda lame PC but i want to play new games. Im really big fan of Assassin's Creed series and i alredy played them all. Everything was good until AC3 then i had to put graphics options little bit lower and now theres AC4BF...With my specs i can run AC4 with everything on low wih lowest resolution and i got like 10-25 fps but only if im lucky so the whole game is very laggy. And now there comes ACU new game which will come out in October and im pretty sure i will not be able tu run it.So i want to buy new graphic card which is not expensive and doesnt "eat" much power ans which will be able to run that kind of games at least on Low to Med options.
Now i got my crappy PSU with 300W
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ 2.6 Ghz (yea ik..not so good)
3 GB of DDR2 RAM
Radeon HD 3600 Series
My motherboard is AM2NF6G-VSTA.
If theres anything else you need to know, just ask.
So i heard that Radeon HD 6670 is good enough and doesnt require much power and its likely able for 300W PSU to handle it but i was searching and it says i need 400W PSU.So is it able to handle it and if not which Graphics card would u recommend me. (Btw, I dont mind playing on low I just hate lags).

Solution

Considering how little info there is about that KY-300 and how most of it is from foreign sources, I'm guessing it was a model intended for ultra-low-cost markets. You probably want a new PSU.
If your 300w is not a quality brand psu then it is not putting out 300w anyways, thus it would not even fully support a 750ti.

You should look at replacing your PSU with one from Antec, Seasonic, XFX, corsair (not cx series, or rosewill hive/capstone. You need to get one that is at least 80+ rated.

A cheap PSU is like a cheap car amp. Sure it says 600w on the sticker but in reality the only time it will put out even 400w is for the two seconds before it fries everything connected to it.

Main thing is that no gaming card can run on 300watt psu. If u have 400watt supply than I will be able to recommend a gpu for u. Better to first take PSU 600watt if u have the money, If not than go to 500watt psu.

There are plenty for people who just want something that works and do not really care for the performance of $200+ GPUs. That's what AMD's R7-240/250/260 and Nvidia's 630/640/650/750s are for. Most of these would be fine on a remotely decent 300W PSU.

Here I putted a picture of my PSU.

Well okay thanks for your help. I think i will get better PSU then and when i get it then ill buy better Graphics card.
