[SOLVED] Can my ASUS A15 connect to a 165hz monitor?

So, I recently bought a 165hz monitor (MSI Optix MAG240cr) thinking it was 144hz so I could just connect with an HDMI and play. The 144hz is working great but now I realize that it's 165hz I'm wondering if it's even possible to connect it as I've heard HDMIs can only go up to 144hz 1080 x 1920. I know that DP cables could work but my laptop doesn't have a DP port (The ASUS A15 with the GTX 1650 ti and i5 10300h)). So, is that possible?

It depends on what HDMI version your laptop has. If it has HDMI 2.0 or 2.1 then at that resolution it supports much higher refresh rate than 165hz.
