Hello,

I currently have this monitor I love ultrawide however I want to upgrade to >120Hz. I was looking at 2 models in particular;
This LG and This AOC

Obviously the main difference between the two is the larger resolution of the AOC, which for only $80 more seems to be the obvious choice.

However, I currently run an overclocked 1070ti, and I'm not sure if I would be able to push the higher resolution. Here is my benchmark and as you can see the card performs quite well at it's current OC.

So which monitor should I go for?

TIA :)))

you didn't provide a single link to anything even though you make it sound like you did.

But since I know what graphics card you are using, I can tell you that at 16:9 aspect ratio, the 1070 Ti is decent for up to 1440p in most AAA titles at up to 100fps at a mix of medium and high settings.

So for ultrawide, if you wanted more frames to go with 120hz, and you don't want to lower game graphics further, then I would suggest 1080p ultrawide, otherwise, you can run 1440p ultrawide at lower graphic settings and/or lower framerates (still around 60+ though)

Because ultrawide 1080p would be somewhere close to 1440p 16:9 in terms of total pixels being rendered.
And 1440p ultrawide would be somewhere between 1440p and 4K.

However, as...

However, as stated, since you provided no info on the monitors other than brand names and refresh rates, with no links, I am just assuming you are talking about 1080p vs 1440p ultrawide, and to summarize with that assumption, you can run 1440p ultrawide at basically 60fps, and you can run 1080p ultrawide at more like 100fps with the 1070 Ti.

Whoops! I embedded the links but must not have worked... I'll fix that now.
