I have a p400s, I’m using the case fans that come with it, there is a button on the case that controls the fan speeds, one of the settings matches fan speed with the cpu cooler speed, or I think that’s what it does. It’s 3-pin, so If I replace the fans would I still be able to control them? I heard you can’t control fan speed with 3-pin case fans, but my case can control the case fan speeds, so will it work if I replace them?

Solution
Yes, you can replace the fans and maintain fan control.

There's a 3 speed fan controller, which you cycle through.

3pin fans are DC controlled, and populating a 3 pin header (on a motherboard, or a controller) can maintain the same functionality - provided the controller can accommodate*

*If the controller strictly supports 3 pin (and 4 pin interfere with other headers) then it may not.
