Can my computer handle a GTX 1080 FTW
I have a...…...

Processor: Intel Core, i5- 6402P CPU @2.80GHz 2.81 GHz

Installed RAM: 8.00 GB

I agree, an i5-6402P makes me think you've got an OEM machine? I'd highly recommend buying a ~650W PSU to go with your new GPU because there's no way an OEM PSU is going to be spec'd to handle that much power.

Also, what is your case/cooling situation. The >180W TDP is nothing to sneeze at.

Yes it will work. Just make sure you have an adequate power supply to replace your current gpu with it.

Though that CPU isn't going to offer the best possible performance in all titles. But any title that is very graphically demanding should do well.
